What preparation do I need to do before re-painting an exterior wall?
The wall is cream, although somewhat weathered. I am re-painting it cream but want to ensure a good finish.
Many thanks

All the above answers are sound advice. One thing I would add is a coat of stabilising solution. This really does make a difference to the finished job as you can be sure you`ve painted on a sound base.

Wash it all down with a pressure washer if you have one…Scrape away any loose paint and sand to ensure smooth edges …(they sometimes show through)..Give the wall two good coats of paint ….Job done..
