Would anyone have any advice on how to estimate an exterior painting job including paint and labor? Thank You?

I am trying to start a painting company and would greatly appreciate any help or advice on any aspect in that regard. It seems to be very difficult to get much information that is consistent. If there are any contractors out there that could shed some light on the subject my family’s thanks would be many. My email is justchas@yahoo.com

That depends on your region. In southeast Louisiana the going rate for interior is $2.65 per square foot, labor and materials. Although I’ve seen some do it for as cheap as $1.25 for just labor. ( I don’t see how they make it) You can figure approx 50 cents for materials. Exterior varys greatly depending on the amount of prep involved. A good prep job makes all the difference in the world. Easier to paint and lasts longer, meaning the customer will be happy and will refer you to others. GOOD LUCK!!
