Average cost of labor for painting interior?
Hi I’m bidding out a job and I was wondering if anyone knew what the average cost of labor per square feet I should be charging for painting interior? Thank you.
Were I live, it’s about $300 per room. Professional painters don’t charge by the square foot, They charge by the work needed. Scaffolding, patching, primer, trim, move furniture, etc.
I know of some people who have paid $400 per room, but loads of prep was needed.

I never went by sq.ft. i would charge 25$ a wall(averagr room size)more if larger. 20$ average 2 pane window,10$per base board,25$ a doorcase,20$ the flat door,50$ for 1 side 6panal door. You get the idea. Also add the cost of QUALITY paint.Use a 5 gallon bucket& screen and extension pole, and a quality roller.Cheap is never cheap in the long run.,Also,a good brush. Do a good job, prep and calk the cracks, and spray prime small repairs.
