can i painting in-closed carport with interior paint?
one side of carport is in-closed by garage (stuco) the other side with a wood 4′ fence.the back inclosed by a structer. the front has a wood gate, the top is roofed.it is not completly shut off to the elements.
I’d still use exterior because of the temperature changes. Exterior paint has more resistance to temperature changes than interior.

You could but I would advise against it. Interior paint lacks the chemical compounds that make up exterior paint. These compounds protect the painted surface against the effects of the sun and weather elements. Additionally, most exterior paints are resistant to mold and mildew and this is key for a surface that is outside due to the fact that even though a surface may never get rained on, it will still gather moisture due to changes in outdoor temperature. I would definitely spend the extra money and go with exterior grade paint. Good luck.
